Over a period of 18 months, with input from the public and 150 environmental organizations in our region, the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo (CFGB) led a process to create Our Shared Agenda for Action, an inclusive, but focused plan of action for working together to accomplish environmental change in our region.
To preserve and restore our regional environment, the CFGB knew we had to find a way to connect the people of Western New York to the work being done by the 150 environmental organizations in our community. And so, GrowWNY was born.
Here, you can find information on everything from living greener to ways to enjoy the many natural resources our region has to offer. You can also find out how to get involved in the many projects being led by our nonprofit partners around the region. These projects range from beach clean ups to tree plantings to meetings where advocate support is needed to show our policymakers why green votes are important votes.
