Are you interested in restoring habitat and improving water quality?

You are invited to attend a “Caring For Your Waterfront Property” workshop in March.  Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper will be hosting these workshops to provide technical assistance on the topic of riparian habitat restoration using native plant species.  The riparian zone plays an enormous role in providing clean water for our communities and healthy habitat for wildlife.

Thousands of species rely on these habitats to survive and many of them have a direct impact on our way of life here in Western New York.  Volunteers who get involved in restoration projects along the water’s edge have the unique opportunity to protect and improve the ecology of riparian lands and serve as models for their community.  By attending, you will learn of the many opportunities Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper has to offer for becoming a steward of our natural heritage.  The workshops will be held in many of the Niagara and Buffalo River municipalities.  Because the material covered will be the same in each, you only need to attend one.
