Event Details

Join Citizens Campaign for the Environment, our environmental partners, and local brewers Flying Bison Brewing Company and Community Beer Works in protecting NY's water supply (and beer supply) from fracking!  Come and learn what you can do to protect New York’s water at this fun and informative event.

  • Where: Mr. Goodbar, 1100 Elmwood Ave, Buffalo, NY
  • Date: Saturday, July 21, 2012
  • Time: 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Registration required.

There is a $5 suggested donation at the door.  Proceeds will go to support the groups' continued work to protect New York's environment against the hazards of dirty drilling.  New York's water is at risk from industrial gas drilling called fracking.  Fracking requires millions of gallons of water, along with sand and toxic chemicals, to be pumped deep underground to release gas that has been trapped in shale for millions of years.  Fracking poses inherent risks to our land, air, water, and people.  Governor Cuomo has indicated that New York will make a decision on fracking "shortly."

This event is being sponsored by CCE, Environmental Advocates of New York, the Sierra Club, and the New York Water Rangers.
