WNY Emerald Ash Borer Task Force Presents . . .Homeowner Workshop on Emerald Ash Borer at the 20th Annual NYS ReLeaf Conference

Workshop Speakers Include:

  • Mark Whitmore, Forest Entomologist—Cornell University
  • David Paradowski, NYS Dept of Environmental Conservation
  • Shane Daley, Olm-sted Parks Conservancy
  • Additional Workshop Partners: WNY Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Mgmt (PRISM) and Cornell Coop-erative Extension of Erie County

Topics to be covered:

  • Ash tree identification
  • EAB infestation ID
  • Steps to treat/save ash
  • Cost of treating or removing an infested tree
  • Citizens’ roles in slowing the spread of EAB
  • Role of tree boards and local conservation committees
  • Conducting a community tree survey

The free workshops will be held at Grupp Lounge on the Canisius College campus.  Registration at 8:45 a.m. - Coffee Provided
