DESCRIPTION:Rally and press conference after the Buffalo Common Council votes on "Buffalo's Community Protection from Natural Gas Extraction Ordinance"-- our fracking ban!  If it passes, this ordinance will protect Buffalo from fracking, as well as the acceptance of any waste created by this harmful type of gas drilling.  Vote: 2PM - 4PM (during Common Council meeting on the 13th floor in council chambers)  Press conference and rally: outside at 4PM (BRING SIGNS, PEOPLE, AND ENERGY!)  NEW YORK'S FIRST FRACKING BAN!  Organizations, businesses, churches, as well as statewide/national anti-fracking groups are encouraged to attend!  Please come support us no matter where you're from!!  Numbers speak volumes!  We need a massive turn out to show support for this ordinance!  Everyone is welcome to this monumental day!  Not only would this protect Buffalo, it would also set precedent for surrounding municipalities to pass similar bans.  It would be a huge accomplishment for the anti-fracking movement, as it'd be the second city in the nation to pass such a law.  Buffalo is the second largest city in NY state, so this passing would send the message to Albany that "NY doesn't want fracking!"
