bear_cavesRefer to the location of the pushpin on the Go Outside Map for precise location of Bear Caves, an outcrop of Devonian age Salamanca conglomerate bedrock, jutting out from a hillside in the Quaker Area of Allegany State Park. Cracks between the rocks form "caves" and crevasses. To reach Bear Caves hike the Bear Caves-Mt. Seneca Trail.

Parking for the trail is near the Creekside and Parallel cabins on Allegany State Park Route 3; Bear Caves is closest to the east end of the trail.
