Tifft Nature Preserve

Join Tifft volunteers for a leisurely outdoor nature walk.  This drop-in program runs all year. A $2 donation per person suggested.

Join Tifft Nature Preserve and the Buffalo Museum of Science at Erie Canal Harbor at Canalside - Central Wharf to celebrate 150 Years of Buffalo Science!   Grab your Indiana Jones hat and join us on a learning safari to the prehistoric world!  Play the role of a paleontologist as you investigate the world of the past.

FREE. No pre-registration required.  Drop-in program.

Drop in and join Friends of Tifft for a guided tour of the preserve. A $2 donation per person suggested. 

Enjoy Tifft’s 40-acre grassland while searching for some of the smaller residents of the preserve.  Bug nets will be provided.  Hike to the highest mound (the second-highest point in Buffalo!) and view the Lake Erie sunset.  Afterwards, you can roast a marshmallow or make your own s’mores!  Non-Members: $7 per person. Buffalo Museum of Science Members Save 10%.

Let’s learn to enjoy nature together!  Read a story, sing silly songs, and have lots of fun, helping little ones ages 2-3 comfortably engage in a natural setting!
