Event Details

Expert instructors from Cornell University Cooperative Extension of Erie County, Cornell Waste Management Institute and Cornell ILR School are partnering with Groundwork Buffalo to host this workshop.  You will learn to turn waste into healthy compost for your garden.  You will also learn how to build composters from a variety of materials including poultry wire and wooden pallets.

The instructors will teach you how to create a worm bin for effective composting.  Materials will be provided for participants.  The classroom segment of the workshop will be taking place a City Honors School.  Following the classroom work, we will walk to Pelion Community Garden, which is located on Best Street directly across from the school.

The workshop is free and open to the public, but space is limited so please register at: http://groundworkbuffalo2.givezooks.com/events/composting-workshop-at-pelion-community-garden
