21st Century Park Renderings Released
BY THE GROWWNY TEAM
On Thursday, October 10 at the Bell Slip Harbor on Buffalo’s waterfront, the 21st Century Park on the Outer Harbor conceptual renderings were released. These designs allow for a multi-use park that would give community members access to the waterfront with a variety of activities, trails and restaurants nearby.
“For generations, our residents have been cut off from our Great Lakes and waterfront, this is our community’s chance to embrace and reconnect to the water, a vision shared by Frederick Law Olmsted back in1888,” Joanne Kahn, a chairperson for the 21st Century Park on the Outer Harbor group said. “The goal of releasing this image is to allow the public to begin to visualize an alternate future for the Outer Harbor, and respond to Governor Cuomo’s call for public input into waterfront redevelopment”.
Here are some pictures of the rendering handouts that were available at the unveiling.
