Video Contest for WNYEA Members!
The GrowWNY.org video contest for WNYEA members is underway and with $15,000 in unrestricted grants up for grabs, what are you waiting for?
- Winner will recieve a $10,000 unrestricted grant for operating expenses
- Runner up will recieve a $5,000 unrestricted grant for operating expenses
Get Started Now:
1. Contest is open to WNYEA member organizations only. Click here to see if your organization is a member.
2. Organizations can submit their video entries on the GrowWNY facebook fan page through May 29, 2011.
- Videos can be fun, funny, or serious, but must get people excited about how to be green in Western New York;
- Videos must relate to at least one of the key issue areas described on GrowWNY.org;
- Videos must be no longer than five minutes.
3. Once all the entries are submitted on May 29, the public will be asked to vote for the winner. All participating organizations are encouraged to invite their members/staff/friends/etc., to visit the facebook contest page and vote for their video. Help is Available!
The Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo has partnered with Squeaky Wheel, a Buffalo media resource organization, to offer WNYEA members an open video editing lab and staff assistance in editing your videos. The video lab is limited to eight participants per session. Participants should come prepared with footage to work on and are advised to bring hard drives to save their work onto. The video lab will take place this Thursday, May 26, 2011, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
