The Western New York Environmental Alliance (WNYEA) was created to foster collaboration and strengthen Western New York’s environmental organizations. There are many ways to join the WNYEA:

  • Member – Membership is free and open to nonprofit organizations, community groups, and student groups with established and/or emerging environmental interests. Members are encouraged to participate in Working Groups and Process Groups, join the listservs that are available on each group’s page, share stories on the GrowWNY blog, submit their community events to the GrowWNY calendar, and attend WNYEA events to network with other members.
  • Associate – The WNYEA is also open to government agencies, schools and academic departments to apply as an associate of the WNYEA.
  • Supporter – Businesses, other nonprofits or community groups, and individuals can become supporters of the WNYEA as well.

Apply for Membership

Membership in the Western New York Environmental Alliance (the Alliance) is free and open to not-for-profit organizations and community groups, both established and emerging, with strong environmental interests.Government agencies, businesses and individuals can become associates or supporters of the Alliance. The application form below can be used to apply as a member, associate or supporter.

Benefits of membership:
* Your organization gets to have representation at the Annual Environmental Congress;
* You get access to Grants & Training Opportunities;
* You will receive invitations to the Alliance’s Quarterly Meetings;
* Your organization gets to vote on the annual Advocacy Platform.

Once you or your group has been approved as a member, affiliate or supporter, you will be welcome to attend Working Group meetings.

To apply for membership, complete the two steps below:

1. Ask your organization’s leadership to sign on to support Our Shared Agenda for Action; and
2. Have your Board Chair or Executive Director complete this simple form and check the “Authorized Signer” box below.

Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by the WNYEA Board of Directors and voted on at the next Board Meeting.
