Film: Containment

On Tuesday, February 21st, join the Sierra Club for a screening of the film, “Containment”. The film discusses the intractable problem of what to do with long-lived nuclear waste, and how we might protect humans and other living things from hazardous waste exposure now, and 10,000 years into the future.

Following the film, the Sierra Club will also host a panel discussion of the West Valley Nuclear Waste Facility, which is our very own nuclear waste storage site, 30 miles south of Buffalo.

This event is free and open to the public. Head over to Daemen College (4380 Main Street, Amherst) at 6:30PM, on Tuesday, February 21st. The film will be in room 107 of Schenck Hall. This event is hosted by Sierra Club Niagara Group, with NIRS, CEC, SNI/WaterWalkerz, Daemen College Global & Local Sustainability Program, and Paul A. Saffrin Center for Sustainability & Civic Engagement.
