GObike Buffalo

Meet the member organizations of the Western New York Environmental Alliance! 

Organization Name:  GObike Buffalo (formerly Green Options Buffalo)

Mission: To create healthy, environmentally sustainable, community friendly transportation options in the City of Buffalo.

Vision:  For Buffalo to become one of the nation’s most bike friendly cities through engineering, education, and encouragement.

Key Achievements:

  • Awarded Silver Level Bicycle Friendly Business award and facilitated City of Buffalo’s Bronze Level Bicyclist Friendly Community by the League of American Cyclists
  • 185 of our signature bicycle racks were installed across the city in 2011, bringing the total to over 330.
  • The Community Bicycle Workshop successfully expanded the open shop days to four days a week (historically only open three) in summer 2014 & recycle an estimated 500 bikes annually.
