Meet the member organizations of the Western New York Environmental Alliance! 

Organization Name: Grassroots Gardens of Buffalo

Mission: Grassroots Gardens of Buffalo enables community-led efforts to revitalize the city and enhance quality of life through the creation and maintenance of community gardens that beautify blocks, grow healthy food, and strengthen neighborhood spirit.

Vision: Promoting the expansion of community gardens in more neighborhoods, and highlighting the significant role that community gardens play in the revitalization of Buffalo

Key Achievements:

  • 70 community gardens over a 100 vacant lots
  •  Buffalo Neighborhood Food Project- a collaborative effort of GGB and Massachusetts Avenue Project (MAP) to bring food to neighborhood youth and low-income residents in Buffalo, NY.
