Mission: To build a more just, sustainable, and culturally vibrant community through action-oriented research, policy development, and citizen engagement.
Vision: We see a revitalized Buffalo in which the non-profit community and citizens have a stronger voice in public policy and are better able to promote the public good. We see a community building on assets such as diversity, historic neighborhoods, and natural resources, making progress on problems such as poverty, inequality, and pollution, and finding solutions that bring greater accountability and democracy to local government.

Significant Organizational Events/Activities:
- PPG advances its principles with a wealth of publications and an annual community agenda.
- Our citizen tool-kit offers a one-stop shop for anyone who wants to become more informed and engaged on local issues.
- We host public forums and a radio show, The Public Good, which airs Tuesday from 1:00-1:30pm on WUFO AM 1080.
- Each summer PPG works with the Cornell University ILR School to bring 20 Cornell students to Buffalo to intern with PPG partners in the High Road Fellowship Program.
