Organization Name: Sierra Club, Niagara Group

Mission: To explore, enjoy, and protect the wild places of the earth; To practice and promote the responsible use of the earth’s ecosystems and resources; To educate and enlist humanity to protect and restore the quality of the natural and human environment; and to use all lawful means to carry out these objectives.

Vision: To protect our wildlands and wildlife, keep our air and water free from pollution, and promote a clean energy future.

Key Achievements:

  • Global Frackdown- a series of over 200 actions taking place around the world in an international day of action to ban hydraulic fracturing (fracking).
