Organization Name: The Elmwood Avenue Festival of the Arts

Mission: Environmentalism is a huge part of our mission and Environmental Row is a big part of that, featuring booths demonstrating things we can do to help sustain the planet.

Vision: It is our goal to adopt best environmental practices in planning and sustaining the Elmwood Avenue Festival of the Arts and when possible we work with other event organizations to improve their environmental impact in the community.

Key Achievements:

  • Every year a tree is planted on Elmwood Avenue to offset our carbon footprint.
  • Featured a solar powered stage for 11 years!
  • Compost all of the vegetable waste from the Festival Cafe, and we actively recycle plastic bottles, glass bottles and cans throughout the Festival.Leadership: Marika Woods-Frankenstein
