Register Your School Now: Recycle-Bowl 2013

BY KYLA JAQUISH, BUFFALO RECYCLING ALLIANCE

Recycle-Bowl is a national recycling competition among schools in North America.  All public, private, and charter schools within the US are eligible to compete.  There are three competition categories that schools can choose to compete in.  The categories to choose from differ by prize amount and competition rules.  Schools can win up to $1,000, depending on which category they choose to compete in.  Registration is open until October 15th, 2013.  The competition runs from October 21st to November 15th, ending on America Recycles Day.  Schools are responsible for tracking and recording the amount of recyclable materials they collect and reporting the numbers online by December 11th.  The Buffalo Recycling Alliance is currently working to get many of the Buffalo Public, Charter, and Private Schools registered for the competition.  For more information visit www.Recycle-Bowl.org or contact Kyla Jaquish, Program Director of the Buffalo Recycling Alliance, at Kyla@PPGBuffalo.org.
