Welcome! Emily Dyett, YJC Coordinator
As the new Youth & Climate Justice Coordinator, Emily is very excited to have the opportunity to empower young people in WNY to engage in the climate justice movement emerging both regionally and nationally. She received her BS in Environmental Studies with a focus on Education & Policy from the University at Buffalo after completing her Associates in Environmental Science from ECC. She continues to develop her educator experience working with organizations like Earth Spirit Educational Services, delivering programs focused on the ecology of our region to students throughout Erie County. In the past she has done community outreach focused on natural resource conservation with non-profit organizations like WNY Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management (PRISM) and Alliance for the Great Lakes. She is looking forward to continuing the success of the WNYEA Youth & Climate Justice Initiative by increasing frontline youth participation and further connecting our member organizations with the next generation of climate activists.
